A lot of folks seem to not understand how federal elections work. They are run by states and localities, and federal elections are on the same ballots as state elections. Think through how hard it would be to “steal” an entire set of midterms.

I was heartened to see nearly 2,000 people out today, despite the 16-degree weather, standing together to honor Alex Pretti and Renee Good and to speak out against ICE.

Spectacularly pathetic. Minnesota is being attacked. The federal government literally said “ICE > MN.” We are shot to death in the street and are deemed terrorists the moment the bullet enters our back. And these self-styled Minnesota civic leaders can’t find it within themselves to pick a side.

Minnesota National Guard members have arrived at a federal building and were directed to distribute donuts, coffee, and hot chocolate to anti-ICE protesters. Guard members were issued reflective vests so they would not be mistaken for federal agents.

The president should be impeached and convicted, as should everyone responsible for these outrages. ICE should be disbanded. So should the Department of Homeland Security. And the people who have killed should be investigated and brought before judges and juries.

Alex Pretti was an American hero. He saved lives. He protected people. He cared deeply about his community, unlike the murderous thugs who killed him. The very last thing he did was try to help a woman who had been pepper-sprayed and violently shoved to the ground by ICE. 1/
