New from 404 Media: you can't refuse to be scanned by ICE's new facial recognition app, according to internal DHS document I obtained. Photos captured by the app are stored for 15 years, including U.S. citizens. We've seen officers scanning faces w/ phones on streets

Look I agree that Elon Musk appears to be on a lot of drugs every time he appears in public. That's not very interesting to me. I'm more interested in how many drugs he can do at once. I think he could probably do more than anyone ever. I bet he could take way more than the doctors say is safe.

"OpenAI expects about $5 billion in losses on $3.7 billion in revenue this year, CNBC confirmed in September. Those numbers are increasing rapidly." What sets OpenAI apart from other Silicon Valley startups is: it has no way to profit from scale. It'll always lose money on a per customer basis. 🥳

OpenAI says it needs 'more capital than we’d imagined' as it lays out for-profit plan
OpenAI said in a blog post Friday that heading into 2025, "we have to become an enduring company," which requires changing its structure.

I personally don’t celebrate gun wielding assassins in broad daylight under any circumstances. That being said: United HealthCare absolutely did try to kill me by trying to cut my chemotherapy dosage and I had to get my senator to intervene and it was one of the most traumatic weeks of my life.
