2025 event industry murmurings: The actual cost of inflation in event pricing isn’t uniformly being passed onto consumers (I think mostly for fear they can’t sustain it, which is substantiated) and means many event producers are operating on razor thin margins, which aren’t sustainable.

Life is wild because just 1 year can be SO MUCH & have so many feelings, insights, experiences, adventures, lessons, art, & connection… & then there’s usually another year, after that. Statistically, anyway. At some point it does abruptly stop. But for all its brevity, life is rich with experiences.

Tonight I also had the surreal experience of someone telling me he was writing a book & then going “…oh yeah! Me too!” Having fully forgotten, even though I got real writing done this week. Too many projects, man.

Wandered into a niche cultural study tonight and ended up in a conversation about God being a verb, and a “recovering professor” & John Law defining psychogeography, courtesy of the Situationists, followed by a documentary about a train tunnel homeless encampment (filmed in 1992) - good night.
