I think one of my problems with a fandom-centric response to media is the bit where the audience members get so hung up on the story they *want* told that they fail to engage meaningfully with the story that is *actually being* told.

Apparently I have impossible magical fantasy protagonist eyes. Not only are they green I have (very, very mild) heterochromia. I say very, very mild because unless you are staring into my eyes lovingly or are a photographer you won't notice. One eye is a bluer green, the other a browner green.
