Media: Elon Musk says… Me: Who cares? Who cares what he says about anything? He’s a racist who did a hitler salute (twice), stole our data, added to the national debt, lies constantly and has been accused by multiple women of SA. Who cares what he says? Rich people aren’t smarter. Stop

I agree with this perspective. We take it for granted and it’s not “shame” to state that skipping elections causes major harm. It’s just truth, like science, truth doesn’t care about perception it just “is.”

How interesting that Meta called
@wired.com
"dishonest" and then (quietly) removed the face-recognition system it had previously (also quietly) integrated into an app downloaded onto 50 million phones. Dishonest!

Meta Deletes Face-Recognition System From Its Smart Glasses App After WIRED Report
The code WIRED identified is gone from the latest version of Meta AI, the companion app for the company’s smart glasses. Meta won’t say why or whether it’s coming back.

RIP Anthony Head. Loved many things he was in, including the Nescafe Gold Blend adverts. But best of all, he showed us that, whatever the problem, a librarian can find an answer for it.

the thing that’s been painfully obvious for years is that unchecked capital accumulation paired with gutting the social safety net and public goods was going to lead to commerce without customers. an economy built on consumption when no one has money to consume.

Took Mon Mon for a quick check-up because her appetite comes and goes. Blood test shows that she's all good but could be recovering from a mild fever, hence the appetite issue, and she is slightly dehydrated, so now she has two more water bowls placed where she likes to hang out.

At some point there needs to be a *proper* conversation about how cruelty has become a new normal for so many people. And we can't just keep putting it down to structures. Too many people with plenty of agency are actively choosing this.
