Why is it so hard to understand that having swarms of people around you is not a same thing? Why is it considered automatically safe?

Marriage should be recognized by the state because marriage comes with political rights like inheritance. I don’t agree with the people who say marriage should not be part of the domain of government. Government decides if people get to unplug a person from a fucking respirator.

The gender binary just creates distortions. Dorm rooms. Sports teams. Locker rooms. Prison cells. Male and female. If we acknowledge gender is on a spectrum, and that people can *and are* nonbinary, non conforming, and transgender, then it’s easier to simply abolish the binary in all spaces.

This is what happens when we elect moderates in the primaries. We literally don’t have to do it, but it’s what we do.
