wheee, today i taught myself to examine encrypted QUIC streams by extracting key material from a browser and then examining the wire protocol in wireshark :D if you use wireshark >=4.4, it can unpack many types of custom compression QUIC uses

it’s running a RISC-V core and is downloading a linux image!!!

btw this is a young student with no budget (but a very big brain) who did this not some team of engineers backed by a VC

all the code & infra stuff exists at github.com/zeppelin-soc..., I'd like to think it's decently well-documented so if anyone wants to pick this up, I'm not going to say you shouldn't do it but I do hope, having shown it can be done & what it looks like, we can move on to more useful things

It really is just so ridiculously tiny That's a standard ATX case (Fractal North) not some kinda XL desktop or anything. The chip in the Framework is holding its own in games through Proton too wow... Not yet missing my 3080 but we'll see how long that lasts. Roughly 1/8 the size of the North

okay the Framework Desktop is real tiny and I love it running arch for now and after a fwupd was able to get the wifi-7 chip doing a full symmetrical gigabit played some games on it too and it's been good so far, need to see if i can get WoW running on it next can of monster for scale
