"Symbolic compliance." 🧵 Especially worrying is that ICE now has permission to use Fort Snelling for personnel and equipment. They may be embedding vs. yielding to public pressure.

This is an automation problem. AI lowers the cost and raises plausible deniability for influence operations. That supports agenda shaping, trust erosion, election narratives, crisis messaging, and coalition fractures.

We are not the first people, or the first country, to suffer under a tyrannical government that does not respect our lives, or our rights. There is a method for how to effectively resist, and eventually topple, such a regime. We can learn from others who came before us. This is my favorite guide.

Many Americans are terrible neighbors to each other, and that is why MN is striking everyone as extraordinary activism... when they are telling us that it is not. They're good neighbors! It's no wonder that "being a shitty neighbor" is the hallmark of our domestic politics and our foreign policy.

I want to convey this in no uncertain terms. The citizens of Minnesota--an entire state--are terrified right now. The federal government is responding through greater force. The federal government is not looking at its own citizens as "citizens." They are looking at us as something to "break."

I’m seeing posts from people (outside of MN) about how US citizens should carry their passports. And let me say that *inside* MN, we are calmly responding to requests with: “No, I don’t have to show you any documentation.” Because that’s how you protect everyone, regardless of immigration status.
