From this angle it's three lanes of traffic for cars and just one narrow, concrete-separated bike lane. That anyone sees this as "bike supremacy" is laughable. But I guess when you're when you're accustomed to free parking, sharing the road even just a little bit feels like oppression.

Spending time in France and Switzerland, it’s clear that the “missing middle” in North America isn’t townhouses and duplexes. It’s mid-rises. Especially mid-rise neighbourhoods. Our denser urban fabric (Montreal, Chicago, etc.) is still mostly 2-3 storeys, not 4-8 like is so common here.
