It's so funny to say this when Trump himself is out there shooting his mouth off about the very earliest stages of negotiations and just making shit up

My Airpods are finally dying after nearly 6 years. One of the most reliable tech items I've owned. Hoping the new generation is equally sturdy.

Was at the store with the family and we passed a packaged lemon pound cake and all burst into song. This is why if you're worried about your reputation the best thing to do is just slink away quietly and wait for it to blow over.

I rewatched Urban Legend recently (because, if I may, Alicia Witt is starring in my fucking movie) and it is truly a delight. Silly as hell, but commits to every second.

I wasn't aware of this (and after BUtterfield 8 I don't think I'll chance it) but I am amused by how a defining feature of the novel is that we never learn the protagonist's name and the movie was like, "Make sure to invent one and put it on the poster!" (for a tagline that doesn't even make sense)

I did not remember Miss Lonelyhearts being so damn bleak! I think when I was younger I was amused by the irony and less keyed in to the nihilism. I think I remember The Day of the Locust being more fun, but I might put it off for a while.

Out of curiosity I watched the 1960 movie of BUtterfield 8 and it's way more stiff and dated than the 1935 book. Sucked all the joy and subtlety out of the novel and turned it into a tedious melodrama. Completely misunderstands Gloria, whose wild alluring spirit is reduced to Barbie doll prettiness.

Someone should rank Dylan albums by the weight of the jackets he’s wearing on the covers.

Contrarian take: for an early draft, the leaked Buffy pilot is pretty good actually! Yes, too many cringe jokes about woke and some bad dialog but none of that is load-bearing. Punch up the humor, sharpen the characters, fix some slow parts and you've got a fun show!

This is wrong. Trump said Dunn WOULD HAVE been dead by June but after an operation the doctors "called up, they said, ‘Sir, I think he’ll be fine.’ I said, ‘You’ve got to be kidding.’ He said, ‘I think he’ll be fine.'" Johnson added: “He has a new lease on life."
