Speaking of innovators I'm still mad 93yo Mike Stoller didn't get his flowers. The fusing of country blues and tin pan alley is one of the most significant developments in American music, up there with Dylan bringing folk idioms and beat poetry into pop/rock. (I think voters just forgot he's alive)
