As someone who has studied cults (wrote a bestseller about it), let me tell you something: The lies Trump, Vance and Miller say are not meant to be believed by their followers. They are meant to be REPEATED. The repetition of the lie is the test of loyalty to the cult.

There are violent extremists on the left but they are not in charge of the party. You can find them on social media, not in the halls of power. The violent extremists on the right are in congress, on courts, and sitting in the Oval Office.

A little like when Trump wanted to just stop testing for Covid because there was too much Covid and so he wanted to just suppress the numbers.

In Bell, CA an entire community stood up against ICE, including the local police and the fire dept. The fire truck appears to not allow ICE vehicles to move forward nor remain and pushes forward to escort them out. A police car also helped with escorting. /

Imagine what happens if LAPD figures out how much good will they can earn by bullying ICE agents

The US Constitution gives Congress the sole power to impose tariffs. Trump is using the National Emergencies Act (and the IEEPA) to bypass Congress to levy tariffs. All Congress has to do is pass a bill denying this explicit emergency power to levy tariffs to Trump and all of this goes away.
