A few days ago, DHS issued a secret new policy memo that attempts to keep (almost) everyone in ICE custody from having a bond hearing. If this works, almost no one will be released from custody while their case is pending. This is how mass deportations begin. www.reuters.com/world/us/us-...

This was sent to my client who will never have $1.8 million to pay this absurd fine. She's never been arrested & is the mother of 2 US citizen children (one with serious health issues). She is also eligible for a visa based on severe human trafficking. This is who DHS is prioritizing right now.
