I’ve always said we live in an age when anyone can have a little box in their pocket that gives instant access to all the world’s experts and knowledge repositories. And yet people turn to pajama-wearing conspiracy theorists and rumor mongers for their news.

Horrific. Every feeling human being should be outraged by what Israel is doing in southern Lebanon, destroying it like Gaza. Instead, with this rare and important exception, it’s not even on the radar. Gift link.

The Supreme Court’s decision “plunged the nation into a dizzying new era of partisan conflict, most likely ushering in a forever redistricting war that could produce fewer competitive seats in Congress and further polarize American politics.” Oh, great.

The President of the United States is threatening to commit war crimes and wipe out a "whole civilization" — all because he started a disastrous war of his own making and had no plan and no strategy for how to end it. This is abhorrent, and the American people do not support this.
