The 2nd quarter fundraising numbers are in & they provide more evidence that North Carolina's 11th congressional district--where the Reps have won 7 elections in a row--might be competitive in '26. Here's the story in 5 graphs. ⬇️

NC-11 Fundraising in Five Graphs
The latest numbers offer the clearest evidence yet that the district that sent Mark Meadows and Madison Cawthorn to Congress may now host North Carolina’s most competitive House race.

When federal solar tax credits disappeared, Columbus didn't wait — they built a local rebate to fill the gap. Register for the Columbus Area Solar Co-op. We'll be at the Shepard Branch Library on 8/1 to talk solar. Come check it out. 🌞

A lot of attention has gone to Kennedy making cyclosporiasis optional for FoodNet reporting. But cuts to state and local health departments -- and the loss of CDC expertise -- are a much bigger deal. My latest:

Again, weird way to cover this. Every public company files an annual 10k with the SEC that includes a disclosure of known risk factors to investors, and common types of food-borne illness would be included for *any* food service company. Like they’d legally have to include them.

I do think pinning this on specifically Taco Bell is weird since many confirmed cases aren’t people who ate at Taco Bell at all and we know the actual source—Taylor Farms—distributes lettuce and other produce to many, many other large food businesses
