I played around with sidecar records and ended up with public polls as a test. The poll embed is defined in a sidecar record, and all votes point to that instead of the bsky post record

Cleaned up the styling a bit

i really like twitter's post thread sidebar for the desktop web image viewer and so added it to red dwarf (its not actually hooked up to any routes yet, its just a modal)

experimenting with tanstack virtual list on local3768forumtest.whey.party still seeing some annoying scroll jumps, scroll position restoring is less precise, and perf on mobile is noticeably worse than a plain div tangled.org/@whey.party/...

got rid of unnecessary fetches by applying more caches to more queries, and i also enabled react compiler. while its still not that fast, red dwarf should feel a bit faster for mobile users. also PWA colors should be nicer now

just found out that constellation now lets you filter by did, and it makes fetching follow state way easier. tangled.org/@whey.party/... but a problem i quickly ran into is that the main constellation instance does not index most of my follows (probably because it isnt backfilled, and my acc is old)

@danabra.mov inspired me to get GraphQL working with @slices.network aaaand it's pretty rad. Slices will generate query interfaces based on your Slices' lexicon and you can join on did/ref/uri. Here's a remix on Dan's teal demo using the entire @teal.fm dataset. slices-teal-relay.bigmoves.deno.net

Not sure why i named it Mattress, im terrible at naming things slices.network/profile/whey... Also i found `goat lex` to be very useful to validate a record against the lexicon definition, it helped me debug why slices wasnt indexing my records despite the lexicon being valid (i misspelled "uri")
