Not enough people are talking about this. The Trump Administration is moving to cut benefits for up to 400,000 disabled Americans — people with Down syndrome, severe autism, dementia — for no other reason than that they live at home with their families instead of in an institution.

Cis people, you really have no clue what it’s like for us right now. Trans people have been scapegoated so hard it feels like we get blamed for being targets, like our oppression isn’t real, or it’s new, or it can wait and must not be so bad if we can be out. If we scream, we get reviewed on it.

For me, the most striking thing about the Supreme Court's opinion killing off the Voting Rights Act is how *casual* it is. Short, dry, uncomplicated, barely bothers engaging with the dissent. Just 37 pages of Sam Alito rewriting the law to say what he wishes it said, and then clocking out.

The conservative justices have spent their careers working to kill the Voting Rights Act. They just did it.

what the end of the VRA is going to do in the south is a moral abomination it is also not going to be enough to keep the house in R hands this fall given the environment we’re looking at, but it’s going to make it a lot harder in the future the Dem gerrymanders need to get more extreme

Even this part is frustrating: no, it doesn't "know" what it did wrong. It's not apologizing. They prompted the algorithm to explain what went wrong, so it made an answer-shaped response based on analysis of texts that explain when something goes wrong. It has no thoughts, you idiots.
