I was privileged to see her at Burnley Mechanics in 2013. She only did one gig in UK that year & nobody could understand why she came to a small venue in a small town. Turned out her sis is a huge Brontë fan so she played a gig for us so she could take her to nearby Haworth. What a lovely person. ❤️

in 1988 a young punk from the gilman street scene i worked with in retail (my only contact with that scene!) handed me the cassette of "13 songs" and said "you can keep this, i've memorized every note". by the time i got to the last notes of "glue man" i realized i was hearing history in the making

I only saw Fugazi once, at the Metropol in Pittsburgh in 1991. In a lifetime of playing and hearing live music, it was the single loudest show I've ever been to. Every atom in my body was vibrating and I think my teeth were chattering. 2nd place goes to Pink Floyd at the Meadowlands, 1987

Great tune, covered this with my original band and no, I will not be playing that tape for you as we were as rubbish as Fugazi was world-shattering. Awe-inspiring stuff
