I want to re-emphasize one part of this Xbox story: Half of the 3,200 cuts are happening today and half are happening in the next 12 months. In other words, even people who survived today's layoffs will have to spend the coming year wondering if they're going to be next.

Years ago I had a job interview where about 5 mins in I leaned over and vomited blood onto the table. I could only manage "that's unusual." She was very kind and called an ambulance. I didn't get the job. I wonder if offering to dry clean her silk dress would have helped.
