We did this. Walked over to the firehouse, they gave us a cap, an hour later they rolled by and turned the hydrant on. Within minutes, the whole block is out here cooling off in the water. Highly recommended!

Limit your activity. Do not push through this. I have seen up close and personal how fast heatstroke or dehydration can get you, way faster and harder than you think is possible.

It's most important to keep your internal temperature down. So drink a ton of water, drink more than you think you need and if you have ice, use it. eat as many Popsicles as you can stand

Wondering if the fact that Book of CoL is a mystery/detective story that's cracked a few eggs means I can't call it a 'hardboiled detective novel' or if it qualifies for some other egg reference. Page isn't hardboiled and gritty. They're very fluid. Hmm.

Know that libraries count things. How many people have cards, how many times a book or DVD or CD is checked out, etc. And then we take those numbers to our internal staff and say "look, people want this" to justify purchases, and then to local govts to say "look, we need to stay open".

As a Texan, I can tell you that 5pm is basically the heat of the day here. When it gets in the 100s during the day things don't cool off until after the sun sets. Then they don't cool a lot, especially if you're in a city. :c

Mixam is who I'm using to print the hardcover for Kickstarter. They do TPB too, and POD with "distribution" but I don't see exactly that that means, or if they just set up a storefront for you? I have no idea. So if anyone has luck with POD distribution through Maxim, please LMK.

Okay, I was told to use IngramSpark to POD my book. I set up an account. They have ads about how they do graphic novels; NONE of their documentation is for graphic novels or even image-heavy books. It's all about prose. So I contact them. Haven't heard back in days. Contacted them again just now->
