Unfortunately, HR made our office manager take this down almost immediately. They said because it's in a common area, it had to be removed. We've used common areas for many things as a team, including fan works, but HR seems to believe that a Celebration of Service is inappropriate.

Hello World, I'm open for employment once more, I was affected by the Microsoft/Xbox layoffs at Obsidian I want to thank my former co-workers for the last few years of unforgettable moments and fulfilling one of my childhood wishes in working for one of my favorite game devs growing up.

So many amazing, wonderful people - and me - were laid off today. All of them deserve the world and I hope they get back on their feet soon. As for me? I suppose I'm open for work once the shock wears off.

Working at ZeniMax/Bethesda for the past 16.5 years has been the biggest honor of my life. Working with SO many talented people on SO many games seems unreal! Like a lot of my friends and colleagues, I was a part of the Xbox reductions announced today.

I will say as someone who doesn't know the whole story, I'm puzzled as to why Obsidian is still at XBox. Hearing Obisidian was "in negotiations" for mere hours and to find out a while later a good amount of devs were laid off at Xbox's demand. The sirens been going off since forever.

I genuinely cannot discern whether or not Silent Hill F or Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward is the singular worst story I've experiences in a video game in this modern era.

Playing Outer Worlds 2 with custom difficulties just breathed new life into me. I haven't had much fun with the game since launch. Having self-imposed rules being enforced by the game itself is really just magical. I tried to keep it mechanically more in line with TOW1 to see differences better.

I feel like Xbox reporting right now feels like a coin flip. It's honestly easiest to believe that Obsidian *was* in negotiations, and now they're not. But maybe they will be tomorrow! It's ridiculous.
