The Outer Worlds 2 underperforming is genuinely depressing as it felt so intricate and intentional, you could feel real passion in the article and writing of this game. I do understand that some of the best RPGs were also not commercial hits, but it's natural to want to see good work rewarded.

Obsidian shipped three games last year: Avowed, Grounded 2, and Outer Worlds 2. Grounded 2 was a hit, but the two RPGs were not, leading to some self-reflection. How to make games in 3-4 years rather than 6-7? This story may be a case study for the entire industry www.bloomberg.com/news/article...

So this was an Observation Check in the game (I assume now decreased from the recent patch). And while I almost started crying how I didn't find this sooner, fleshing him out this much pisses me off even more that there's no full conversation you can have with The Sovereign. PLEASE!! I BEG YOU!!

If they have time and resources, I'd love to help write more things for The Sovereign in The Outer Worlds 2. I think working on him can help enhance the main narrative so dramatically.

Genuinely, I think if youre looking for an RPG with good interactive story with real choice and consequence and good real-time action gameplay, there's not a better game than The Outer Worlds 2. Just straight up.
