Exactly, same here. I fucking hate that way of looking at art, because then you go into it, scolding it for not aligning with your views, rather than seeing what you can learn from it. Don't even get me started on the "superheroes are fascist" shit.

One of the reasons I hate a lot of "left tube" media/entertainment takes is because a lot of them are messengers first, and critics second. They only view movies through the lens of "does this present the propaganda we need for our movement" instead of engaging with the movie as a work of art.
