I wonder what the pay rate of being a box office analyst or pundit for any film/entertainment/pop culture news outlet is like. Like what is the dopamine rush they get for causing tribalistic bulls**** on social media, conflating BO with quality and treating anybody below as replaceable.

I forgot to mention that this is his only film that he ever shot here in the US. I really don't get why it got such mixed reviews back in 2000 and even Kitano himself doesn't like it. I loved the interactions between him and Omar Epps, it's beautifully shot, Joe Hishashi's music is amazing.

It's been.....too long since I last visited Takeshi Kitano (another one of my major influences). Then again, his work has been hard to find compared to 6 years ago.....this was actually one of my white whales of his (next to Sonatine). Finally glad I found it on Tubi. #NowWatching:
