I remember back in the day people complained about 4-D movies not really being 4D (as in not having anything to do with time.) But like... 3D movies aren't 3D either. they were more like motion picture pop up books. The idea of using steroscopy to add actual depth to movies is fairly recent.

I enjoy animating, it just takes me longer than it even would take a normal person cause I get exhausted very quickly. otherwise I'd be convinced I could do that part of the movie myself, other animators have done it before. usually takes four or five years.

The term “corporate shill” is gradually losing all meaning. It used to refer to someone who defends a corporation’s unethical business practices and decisions. Nowadays it all amounts to “this person enjoys a piece of media that I don’t like”.

I also am of course continuing work on the rest of Road to Kuzcotipia. So here’s to celebrating 9 (and soon 10) years of Staying Animated!

I also am going to try and find a way to make FireBlast Studios no longer a (mostly) one man operation. As the style improves and I get older and lazier, I’m not as able to do as much by myself as I was even just six years ago.

Which was a huge hit. But now to discuss my plans for the future. As I announced earlier, I am reviving the SHARKS film, this time I’ve overhauled the story and changed the title to “SHARKS 2-D” both as a joke and to emphasize the animation style.

Due to a variety of circumstances beyond my control this parody of JAWS, scheduled for 2023… didn’t end up happening… YET. More on that later… In 2024 I created a subsidiary for creating Emperors New Groove fan films and named it after my podcast. Through that I released “The Platypus’s New Groove

In 2020 was when FB really took off though, with animations of @tonygoldmark.bsky.social ‘s podcast @vaultdisneypod.bsky.social! And the eventual spin offs. Around the end of 2020 I announced plans for our first feature “SHARKS”…

The Molly and Pippin Show was FireBlast’s debut series and though it didn’t take off, and the audio wasn’t good looking back it was fun to make. Another highlight was “INK-U-BUS” a series of horror “micro shorts” I did every Halloween from 2017 - 2021, each short in a different style.

FireBlast Studios was founded on three ideas: . Reinvigorating interest in 2D animation . Creating animated stories of a variety of genres for multiple demographics . Sharing the behind the scenes process with the audience along the way

I... I just don't think I have room in my life for people who legitimately HATE misguided but fundamentally-decent people who ultimately just want to live in a better and more progressive world. This hateful shit is not what I signed up for.
