In this analogy, the left didn’t even call the fucking exterminators! They listened to social media reports saying exterminators were the same as roaches, didn’t bother calling them, and now they’re mad that the exterminators didn’t solve the problem without even being contracted to do the work.

It's an awful analogy because it ignores two things: 1. Republicans have agency, they aren't just a force of nature. 2. An exterminator can exterminate at all times, they can't be blocked by courts or by the bugs having a majority in the House/Senate. 😂

And literally ALL of those discrepancies fall under the umbrella of "people who don't even realize how much capitalism has brainwashed them seeing absolutely EVERYTHING as capitalism."

Oh and also WE DIDN'T ACTUALLY HIRE THE EXTERMINATOR. In this analogy, the people who want to hire the exterminator have to outnumber the people who want the roaches to have the run of the place in order for the exterminator to be hired. And we didn't. And somehow that's the exterminator's fault.

I get it, I really do. When you grow up in a hypercapitalist society such as ours, you tend to view the world through a consumerist lens. I don't know how to get it through to you fucking people that elections just do not fucking work like that.

People are treating this like it's a good analogy, but I can't help but notice the use of words and phrases like "hired," "selling" and "in the market." If you think this is a good analogy, that means you think political parties are companies and voting is shopping. IT'S FUCKING NOT.
