it's wild. the draft i'm editing right now was written before i thought i might have autism; i'm doing my third round of work on it, and there are SO MANY SIGNS that the main character is autistic. it's like part of my brain was screaming at me without me realizing it.

finished On Blue's Waters by Gene Wolfe; loved it, although it's a complicated, at times emotionally demanding work (and the fact that you have to read four other books before it to really get it makes it hard to recommend). now rereading Lincoln in the Bardo for work. #FridayReads

I wanted to get a video of this ghost crab but every time I got close to their hole they scuttled back in, so I tried getting clever with it. I made a little sandcastle and shoved my phone into it, hit record, and walked away. Crab was VERY suspicious of this addition to their environment.
