Since I can't do stream, I've started assembling the font. It's a matter of making the character SVG, then resizing it to spec, then importing into FontForge. It's going to be a slow, but worthwhile process.

You know, at least it hasn't been like the previous two nights where the power was out, but still. I set up, get nice and neat for the stream, and still, the Internet denies me. I'm going to finish up the first trial of my font. Stream cancelled due to weather messing my wifi up.

Mulling over that reddit thread about the team that ran 400 playtests in a month and I have so many questions. Even ignoring the fact OP frames playtesting's purpose as "are you doing it right" and not "are your design intentions reaching players?" There's just so many other red flags to consider.

A friend of mine who runs these things always repeats something to me along the lines of "Playtests and Research isn't for telling you the right thing to do, it's to confirm to you that your assumptions are correct and that your intentions are getting through to the players" and that's stuck with me
