A personal weekend project from 2016 where I added speech recognition and basic "pet" behaviours to the floating alien in Rick & Morty VR. No generative AI - just painstakingly-authored grammar docs. It would sometimes mishear/misbehave, but that was part of the charm. #gamedev #indiedev

Someone asked why they can't get Godot's AudioEffectSpectrumAnalyzer to detect pitch. It's probably because the default FFT size is small, which results in a wideband analysis. You want narrowband, so increase the FFT size. #GodotEngine #gamedev #indiedev
