Pushed a much requested ImGuiInputTextFlags_WordWrap flag to public API for multi-line word-wrapping editor. There's zero caching and it's rather slow for my taste (on my 2019 desktop, for a 100 KB text buffer: +~0.3 ms optimized, +~1.0 ms debug). Cost is roughly proportional to buffer size.

For random game Saturday here's Taxi 2 which I was bullied into buying by @ocornut.bsky.social (the bullying=he told me about it). It's a France-exclusive dreamcast game from Ubisoft which was based on the less popular sequel to Luc Besson's Taxi. The only other format of release was (French) PC.

What I have been doing since 15+ years is that I use Gmail + keep a downloaded POP3 copy of everything locally and using Thunderbird. Thunderbird is my main tool but I use Gmail when away from my main laptop. I have a vast majority of all my emails since 1996 in thunderbird.

Seems like 1.92.0 opened a season of Well Meaning Attention Hogs on GitHub… people making PR or suggestion that takes unusual amount of back and forth to argue against and close. I can’t too rudely close without explanation. Anecdotally, some PR take as much energy to close than to merge.

I also identify as producty person (definitely not an engineer), and I had similar issue. What change my thinking was that I was told to tell a story, not to write a tech report. Meaning, you have build something awesome that people love. You don't have to be right, just tell how you got there.

I occasionally get invited to speak at events/podcasts. I almost always refuse, primarily because it is difficult for me to articulate and organize my thoughts. I don't even feel fluent in programming vocabulary. Sometimes I feel I'm more of a product person than an engineer.

Effectively ‘Status’ is a reserved keyword in C… if you use it, Linux users will rightfully complain that X11 headers has a ‘#define Status Int’ which is causing problems. Somehow after all those years X11 headers weren’t reworked to reduce 90-era leaks? This one seems fixable.
