Some amount of TTRPG writing is "creative writing." Some amount of TTRPG writing is "technical writing." The proportions vary by project, but TTRPG writers have to both convince players of the wonder of their worlds and also show how those worlds work.

Time for my Year-End Writing Tally! In 2025 I wrote a total of 368,00 words: 4 novels, 2 novellas, 7 short stories, 3 magazine articles. That makes 2025 my 3rd best writing year ever. So far for 2026 I have 1 trilogy, 2 novellas, & 3 short stories. We'll see what else turns up. 🙂 Onward! 💙📚
