I recently read "Life After Cars" and this section about political will really stood out to me. I am no longer giving my votes or my money to politicians who care about reelection, I'm giving it to politicians who care about the cities they run. Because they can do whatever they want.

Catching a bus out of the Spring Street terminal for the first time though transit app directions. Bus is supposed to be in Bay 1. Bay 1 has two scissor lifts in it and the rest of the bays are blocked off. There is no lighting. Where am I supposed to go? There is zero signage.

I have owned a bike for 4 days. Since then, the word "stroad" has entered by vocabulary, I'm talking to everyone I meet about better pedestrian and bike infrastructure, and I'm already planning bike-based day trips (with public transit to fill in gaps). Is this just what happens?

Just some light reading for the waiting room - research about queer mobility and mobility justice.

I have spent a significant amount of hours driving between Columbus and Cleveland with a good chunk of that for caregiving. First for my grandma and now for my mom. Having inter-city passenger rail would make it significantly easier and reduce some of the stress.
