I queue up Chicago images and footage on days when I am multitasking or just burned out. If Trump has ordered tanks to roll over peaceful demonstrators in Los Angeles or anywhere else, my Chicago posts aren't some kind of passive aggressive message.

We have been rightly afraid of the threat of bad actors using AI to create disinformation. It's appalling that one of the first of those bad actors is in the White House.

Death toll in Afghanistan when NATO answered the US’s call: - 453 Britons - 158 Canadians - 89 French - 59 Germans - 53 Italians - 44 Danes - 17 Spaniards “Stayed a little back, off the front lines “! No one in the media will call him out over this lie or any of the others he spouts.

my Blackest opinion is that the presumption of conflict between "America has a long and deeply rooted history of violence" and "we can and should fight against today's version of that, as did those who came before us" is less a philosophical debate about how to treat the past and more a skill issue

Not only was DOGE illegally accessing your Social Security information, but it was also illegally offering to share it with third-party political groups working to overturn elections. This is a deep betrayal of the public trust and must be fully investigated.

The justices keep returning to the hypo of a Fed governor posting pro-Nazi videos to ask whether that would meet the bar for for-cause removal. The idea that this kind of content would obviously cross the line seems a bit farcical given some of the material that DHS regularly posts on social media

Imagine that another global power demanded to “take” Alaska, whether by economic pressure or military force. Think about how furious US politicians across the spectrum would be. And think about how little they’d be appeased by shrugging off the threats as hollow bluster.
