The only document the Military Records Center in St. Louis has on Leander V. Cunningham [1917-1991] is a final pay voucher from his first hitch in the service (Army, WW 2 period). He was a M/Sgt in the USAF at the time of the 1958 incident that made headlines.

I hired a professional military records specialist who tells me that aside from a final pay document from Cunningham's first hitch in the service (Army) during WW 2, he has no record whatsoever at the Military Personnel Records Center in St. Louis. Onward to a USAF records FOIA.

Hollywood Reporter, September 24, 1981. Fans are never wrong, so if they stamp their feet and say that if Spock is killed in the second Star Trek movie it will cost $28M in movie attendance and re-viewership, videotape sales and rentals, and cable and network TV sales, Paramount had better listen!
