I read this story in 2019 and said. Over Only Fools & Horses, The Goodies, Pigeon Street, Grange Hill, Swap Shop, The Two Ronnies, Match Of The Day, Doctor Who? Yes I said Pigeon Street! You tell me that theme isn't a banger! So. A Banging Themes List on Bluesky?🤔

🟦CLEAN FEED | NUJ submission suggests ITV/STV & Comcast talks are at an advanced stage. One (of many) NUJ arguments: if Ofcom agrees reduction of STV PSB news commitments now on grounds of financial pressure, how does that look after a purchase of STV by the $32bn media giant.

Long before Benedict Cumberbatch, there was a late seventies Dr. Strange TV Movie. It absolutely reeks of camp machismo, disco lights, lurid 'voodoo' and a jaw-droppingly vampy turn from Jessica Walter. It's *brilliant*. Honest.

Two big BBC1 hits came from heads of entertainment watching a Dutch show & picking a host. Bill Cotton saw 'Één van de acht' & thought Bruce Forsyth, That was The Gen Game. Kate Phillips saw 'De Verraders' & thought Claudia Winkleman. We know what that one was.

Have often wondered if we were just in early peak tv days and this wouldn’t hold up now but it 100% does. Good mystery but even better central duo with terrific performances. Instantly compelling. reckon it’s harder to cast that level of actor in a mainstream ITV show now tbh. The peak TV succubus.
