Ok the air is cleaner, and people are getting more exercise, and the city is quieter and cleaner, and it's less expensive to maintain than car infrastructure on an individual and societal level, but are such extreme measures really worth it? 🙃

London is fast becoming a cycling city. As each new piece in the network appears—which has more than quadrupled from 90 to 431 km since 2016—so do new cyclists. Its infrastructure now sees a stunning 1.5 million daily users—a 43% spike since 2019—moving nearly half as many people as the Tube below.🧵

Marino and Richmond Rd/Grace Park Rd areas need to come together to cut rat running
Comment & Analysis: Residents of the Marino and Richmond Rd/Grace Park Rd areas of Dublin need to come together to curb rat-running in their adjoining areas. Dublin City Council has rejected calls from Richmond Rd/Grace Park Rd residents for a trial of a filtered permeability measure in their area, while the promised Marino Neighbourhood Traffic Scheme is long delayed, with no progress.
