In Marseille, Amazon uses a fleet of cargo bikes to deliver packages. Cargo bikes are not just for show, in many cases they are the perfect tool for delivering packages in a city. E-cargo bikes can be up to 1.6 times faster than delivery vans. Bike: Chariot FS2 - Cargo Cycling.

Always find it fascinating how some people can look perplexed when they see you on the bike heading to the shops, or the schoolrun, or the local GAA club. Like, “Ah, there’s yer man, on the bike”. Like it’s an alien concept to them. It’s just not done. Not a mode of transport. Only for kids etc.

Wow - Is that over 3 million HGV movements for MetroLink alone!? The risks for us Dubs on bikes is huge here. We really need to make sure they’re done by direct-vision cab vehicles.

What a wildly stupid idea. Mandatory helmets and high viz is a proven remedy to reduce the number of people cycling. It effectively kills off things like Dublin Bikes. That's why no other EU country does anything like this. Pure madness.

Users of the Interim Ranelagh active travel route are being asked to provide their feedback to Dublin City Council's Active Travel Office. The scheme, which is focused on Ranelagh Village, mainly included plastic bollards protecting the existing cycle lanes and the removal. The now-protected cycle lanes are used by schoolchildren and commuters, but, as reported by this website last year…

I flagged this a possibility when it wasn't included in the NDP last month. The line exists and is in good condition. Reopening it would have connected Limerick, Tipperary, Waterford, Cork and Galway with Wexford/Rosslare. It would have been great for regional development.
