I think the Gardaí need to examine how cyclists trying to make reports are dealt with. In my experience the whole thing varies wildly depending on the individual garda and their interpretation of how the law works. Also you need video footage for the most part.

Niall is completely right - with political will the technical challenge of turning a bus could be solved. Niall even gives an easy solution. Same with safer cycling here. The problems are political. Very few people currently with power have any notion of cycling or taking a bus.

Ballymoneen Road Upper needs a bus - and the NTA are now telling us it won't happen until after the ring road. It is absurd that simple public transport is being held ransom to the ring road.
