Admittedly, the positioning of the RIA Library stamps in the past was not always ideal... but the effort made by someone to remove them from this book seems excessive!

What's immediately apparent is that Irish Air Corps PC-12 #283 callsign "HAWKEYE" flew around vessel AMADEUS first, but it was when C295 MSA, callsign "KRAKEN", took over, that the vessel changed course.

The âdog daysâ of summer get their name due to their association with the Dog Star, Sirius, found in the constellation Canis Major. The first visible rising of Sirius occurs during the hot stretch from early July to early September. Woof.

The June solstice is today, 21st June, 2026. Today the sun will be directly above the most northerly latitude of the Earth for a moment, before heading off south again. And that moment is now, 09:24 Dublin time (i.e. 09:24 IST, 08:24 UTC).

Have another Irish
#painting
. "Glenbrook II" was the second time I painted the Cork Harbour village. Put houses in a row and I'm gonna be tempted to paint them. Then again, given the state of the country, just put houses somewhere - they don't even have to be in a row.
