If you're a reporter, please stop referring to RFK Jr and his cronies as "vaccine skeptics." They're not skeptical. Skepticism would be fine. Skeptics look at evidence and can be persuaded. These people are extremist anti-vaccine cranks, and that's how news organizations should describe them.

I took my 14yo to the pulmonologist yesterday because over a year after her covid infection, her lung function never returned to normal. She's now on a longterm steroid treatment despite potential side effects. She also go a cardiology referal. Doc said long covid is messing tons of kids up.

This comes up a lot when I talk with other epidemiologists. The detention centers are perfect launchpads for disease outbreaks. Republicans wonât care because they donât see the migrants as human. But they should remember that infectious disease wonât stop at the walls of the detention center.

Exemptions from childhood vaccines for school entry reached record highs for the 2024-2025 school year, with a corresponding drop in vaccine coverage. This is a disaster, and we can see it in the measles outbreak. Every state must end exemptions unless in the case of a medical contraindication.
