In the afternoon there was one of those moments when the doves under the feeder flew away in a flutter and the other birds followed. The Carolina Chickadee was against the tree and froze in place for a few minutes. It was a good photo opportunity. 🪶

That being said if you have a books to recommend I’ll take them! Some of my favorite books are The Hotel New Hampshire, kite runner, Gatsby. Love fiction but I find things like Big Little Lies and the Housemaid a little too simplistic and much more entertaining on screen. I liked Girl on the Train

I figured out my “attainable” 2026 New Year’s resolution: Start picking books that I’ll actually want to finish reading - and finish every book I start. I think I discarded at least 5 last year mid-way through 🫠📖

I’m almost done with The Housemaid but it’s so poorly written I don’t know if I want to finish it. I gotta stop trying to read books made into movies. At least this was free
