Watching the Jenrick Press Conference: Really hoping a journalist asks him in the manner of Mrs Merton: "What was it about losing the Tory leadership contest that helped you realise that the Tories had broken Britain?"

Robert Jenrick becomes the latest Tory Cabinet minister to stand up at a Reform event and say the country is in an appalling state. You have no idea of the self-control required not to yell: "YOU WERE IN FKING GOVERNMENT!"

Funny how Robert Jenrick, Reform’s latest signing, says “Britain is in decline” ,considering he helped run it as a Tory minister under May, Johnson,Truss &Sunak. At this point, Reform looks less like a fresh start and more like a reunion tour for the people who caused the decline in the first place.

The Reform pitch is increasingly “the last government was terrible, so we’ve hired everyone who was in it”.

Jenrick saying he's "put aside personal ambition" too join Reform is the single most shameless statement I've ever heard. If he "put aside personal ambition" he'd disappear. That's all there is.

Given all the other recent Conservative defections he's accepted, "I've always thought Robert Jenrick was a fraud" reads more like a recommendation than a criticism
