A few folks have replied to this saying the iterative process IS when they're thinking deeply about the problem, and to an extent I get that. But I think many folks don't realize how much an AI-generated first draft (or any first draft you didn't create) shapes your perception of what's possible.

Not to be too on the nose here, but I feel like the choice to adapt and parrot back a misunderstood version of my original text maybe isn't helping your case on the "AI isn't kneecapping human creativity" front.

Your ability to deeply understand a problem, explore new approaches & iterate all gets kneecapped when you outsource the first draft to AI. Even if you're reviewing/refining the AI output, it doesn't matter; you're not well-equipped to do so because you haven't spent time thinking about the problem.
