There are tons of industrial and agricultural processes that are intrinsically polluting and use orders of magnitude more water; the idea that running a bunch of electricity through circuits will make water undrinkable is a paranoid public panic on par with believing 5G gives you asthma

This was a normal story of a developer trying their best and bugs happening the way they always do; but folks polarized against any use of AI took it as an opportunity to harass a stranger giving them valuable work for free.

plenty of people new to linux are using llms in some capacity, and they're certainly not gonna end up contributing to an ecosystem that turns them away from its sanctioned distribution channel because their project isn't "mature" masterclass on how to dry up a pipeline of new contributors

You start out in 2024 by saying, "clanker, clanker, clanker." By 2026 you can't say "clanker" — that hurts you, backfires. So you say stuff like, uh, stochastic parrot, next-token predictor, and all that stuff, and you're getting so abstract.

When we took office, NYC had a $12B deficit. Today it’s zero. And we didn’t close that gap on the backs of working people. We closed it while funding parks, libraries, safer streets, & public housing. Call it Pothole Politics or Democratic Socialism: We are government that delivers for the people.

Apple and Google are gradually expanding their use of hardware-based attestation. They're convincing a growing number of services to adopt it. Google's Play Integrity API and Apple's App Attest API are very similar. Apple brought it to the web via Privacy Pass, which Google intends on doing too.
