I don’t want this point to be lost in the discourse. Going digital-only means inequity for people who cannot afford internet or constantly purchasing new games. Libraries provide opportunities for people to experience games they otherwise wouldn’t be able to afford, and that will be lost.

I am a physical media collector, but am extremely aware of the downsides (space! Limited runs driving up $! Disc rot!). Sony wouldn't be allowed to come in my house and steal my PS1 copy of SaGa Frontier, and it should be the same with digital!

Man, I went on Etsy to see if I could get a fun version of a basic item (I do not have a 3D printer), and a good 80% of what I saw either had AI art on it, or was using genAI in the product pictures, which seems extra terrible because then I have no idea if any of it is real.
