Board games, as most media, are inherently political. The theme and setting, the manner in which (characters, names, visual representation) you present the content, the way you message it, and the things you leave out... all cultural and political. Being unwilling to recognize that is a you problem.

A highlight of #PAXUnplugged was the Tabletop Marketing 101 panel in which I got to share a table with super pros sharing marketing experience and tips on bringing your game to market. The response at the event was excellent and the recording is now available for everyone who missed it!

The Finspan announcement dropped today (by the way, it looks GORGEOUS!!). I'm really excited for the whole Finspan team! Being a year removed from the Wyrmspan release, I'm reminded of the rollercoaster of emotions I experienced then #boardgames 🧵

My best advice for game designers is to be interested in and curious about lots of things besides games, and to do lots of things besides play games. It makes you a richer person and a better artist.

2024 was a year of getting comfy in my skin 🥺🥸 Making a hard shift into the tabletop industry fulfilled me in ways I did not expect, but it was still a big move to walk away from a different path. So happy to have more confidence moving into 2025 and looking forward to carving out my space. ✨

The best & wildest thing to happen this year: my partner & I bought a house! My focus has been centered on this in the last few months. It's a cozy, almost 100 year old home that needs a bit of love. But I'm looking forward to shifting back to hobbies & professional development in the new year. 💖
