I'm really proud of the Cosmere RPG and the Plotweaver system. We truly have something special, and I'm feeling grateful for the awesome, dedicated RPG teams we have on both projects.

Played a longer session of Earthborne Rangers today! We are on Day 13 of our journey, and just arrived at Spire after dancing in Meadow. I also got my first Lingering Injury after getting beat up by a Pouncing Atrox.

Garden bed is in and we put our Volkswagen to work! We put a lot of work into making the bed and leveling the soil today. Can’t wait to plant next week!

It is fine to not like something within the tabletop industry (like a 5E adaptation), but as soon as you start picking on specific things about the product (like the art, writing, etc) just because you don't like the base idea of the product...then you're being an asshole.

After about an hour, I got the bee out. But goosebumps were had and shrieking was done.

I've spent about an hour of my day today trying to get a carpenter bee out of my house because it kept trying to fly aggressively at me. I know they can't hurt me, but it kept triggering my fight or flight response (which was very much flight in this case)

Ah, it is time for the yearly Gathering posts to fuel my internal impostor syndrome about being an unimportant person in the tabletop industry

Something I *will* essay about is that every discussion with differing opinions have become life or death online. I feel bad when someone disagrees with me and feels the need to apologize because we have built a culture of online thought homogeny where any disagreement has been viewed as betrayal.

One of the biggest lessons I learned from being chronically online for too long... shed the need to have the last word. I don't need to "win" discussions with strangers... especially those who trigger my honed "good faith" gut. Life online is better when you walk away from pointless discussions.
