Drivers often forget there are others of us (not in cars) who use the city's streets. "You would think with all the brains in our city" we'd have figured out how to make driving less of the default for street users.

The PBL on Broadway between Howell and E Denny is currently blocked by a private contractor’s vehicle. I tried to reason with the driver but apparently he “has no choice.” That’s just not true.

Why do local chambers of commerce (and others who consider personal vehicles as the only serious way to get around) frame public transportation as a hinderance to a thriving economy? It's as if folks who ride the bus don't shop, go to restaurants, or otherwise engage with their own neighborhoods.
