When we PDR’d the SDOT and Parks records for Lake Washington Blvd and Lake Park Dr stop sign removal from the plans I was very impressed with the staff’s insistence that they do it the right way. There were lots of emails to senior staff that never received responses.

The band at the Ferdinand festival street just said that the city is charging the friends of Ferdinand patio $500 per month for trash service. For a public space.

Some candidates for mayor look for ways to save lives and improve service for constituents. Some eliminate safety measures to make their own commute faster. Seattle deserves so much better than the timid, status quo executive we have now.

I'm convinced Mayor Bruce Harrell is a coward who covers it up by acting like a bully. In public he'll support you, in private he'll cave to influential donors, and then he'll hide behind a spokesperson and strongarm anyone disagreeing with him. People should stop being afraid of him, he's weak.

I share this sentiment and frustration so much. I'm in Valencia for a few weeks where the city is pedestrianized and filled with trees. Seattle leaders only pretend to seek transformation for the common good. In reality, they cling to the provincial status quo.

I grew up tubing and canoeing on the Guadalupe River. It's an integral part of summertime and family time. Flash floods are also part of the Central Texas experience. Sending so much love and condolences to the Texas families who lost loved ones.💔
