don’t let the bastards grind you down
Something that I don’t think we talk about enough is the fact that our (American) healthcare is directly tied to our employment. Sure, most of the world is probably aware that a significant percentage of Americans are one medical emergency away from financial ruin- 1/3

Living in America is like being locked in a windowless room with a chimp holding a hand grenade. Sure, I'm relieved when he gets distracted and throws his own poop instead of pulling the pin, but in the end I'm still locked in a room with him.

"I had an overwhelming sense of being moved by the moon...it is a real place, and when we have that perspective and we compare it to our home of the Earth it just reminds us how much we have in common - everything we need the Earth provides, and that is in and of itself somewhat of a miracle."

Can’t help but notice the individual feedback from the Artemis 2 astronauts regarding their experiences being this far from Earth and so close to the moon… overwhelmingly they all express some form of gratitude for our planet and other humans, and the importance of working together.

Othering is a useful tool to divide people, to drive stupid people to stupid decisions (points to the current American President). Just let people be who they are, accept that humanity is diverse. You can't hammer crystal glass vases into Tupperware, please stop trying!

The Democrats have offered, again & again & again, to fund every part of DHS other than ICE, Border Patrol, & the Secretary's office. This ⬇️ is a result of Republicans refusing to do that, because they believe that if our lives are made hard enough, they'll get their money for their secret police.
