So at the end of early voting, about 55.7% of Georgia primary voters pulled Dem ballots. 42.8% pulled GOP ballots. (1.5% pulled the non-partisan ballot.) Man.

In 2017, Criselda Vasquez painted this portrait of her parents and titled it "The New American Gothic." Last month, her father, the man in this portrait, was abducted by ICE after being in the US for 30+ years. The family is now struggling with bills. A GoFundMe has been started:

Remarkably heavy turnout from Democrats in Georgia today. Today alone, roughly 50,000 people went to vote in the Democratic primary, while roughly 35,500 voted in the GOP primary. (1300 just voted in the nonpartisan races.) That's a turnout advantage of 16 percentage points today.

Mamdani has demonstrated something that Democrats have largely forgotten. You can't just do good things for voters and expect to be rewarded for it. You have to tell them about it, over and over again. You have to advertise your work in office just as much as you did on the campaign to win it.

IMO, if you want to protect "the children," you should do something about the two leading causes of death for US children. (Guess which party works relentlessly to prevent any progress on this score.)

We've had plenty of career politicians serve as Chief Justice -- former senators and governors, even a former president -- and yet none was such a nakedly partisan political figure in their role as Chief as John Roberts. He is a political hack and I'm glad hearing that simple truth makes him sad.

94% of teachers have to dip into their own pockets to buy school supplies. 85% of teachers are working second jobs during the school year, often just to keep up with the cost of living. Meanwhile, the average Wall Street employee got a bonus of $246,900 in 2025. Something has gone terribly wrong.
