HCMC _is_ a safety net hospital; which means it covers people who do not have insurance. One of the worst, most sickening things coming out of the funding issues for it is the reveal of people who just believe that folks should die if they can't pay. I already knew they believe that.

the thing about the minneapolis paraphernalia law is that the literal state of minnesota has already passed this law and this would just bring city ordinance in alignment with it and yet it turns out our mayor and half the council are *more conservative* than the rest of the state

Abolitionists should engage more with ethical true crime creators, imo. Independent creators aren’t beholden to mainstream media copaganda, so they can call out police incompetence and brutality. This creator, MaggieMayFish, connects the dots well for a general audience:

nonzero chance the FBI is plugging LLMs into wiretap data under the legal theory AI alone can’t implicate 4th amendment concerns (semi-known 702 issue). or the NSA has now hard coded wiretaps across all newly built US data centers due to expanded ECSP scope. or probably both.

They won't start with banning birth control. First they'll lie about it. Then dictate who can prescribe it, use it, fund it, in what forms, and for how long. Suddenly, your doctor won't call you back. I know this is what they'll do because it's what they're doing to transgender healthcare right now.

Not calling anyone out but calibrate your messages to reflect two truths: 1. ICE is shifting their enforcement emphasis to the suburbs, exurbs and greater Minnesota. 2. ICE is still very much in the central cities.
