I really would love to do a drawing challenge this October. The world seems in chaos and my life has changed a bunch with caregiving a loved one, so having something creative to work on would be great! Testing ideas that would be fun art making and worldbuilding for a solo rpg game in 2026.

Masculinity is useful to me; it gives me the privilege and responsibility to stand up for others in a way that I know can be useful and powerful. I can't reject it just because I want to not be part of the mainstream; that's incredibly stupid.

It hit me at a time when I was feeling embarrassed about masculinity. I couldn't understand why men were like they are; I'd never fitted into that shape, and I felt like I never would. So, I reasoned, maybe that wasn't my shape.

This post in particular, but the whole thread, was hard to write, but incredibly freeing. I feel so much better about myself today than I did six, seven years ago. I couldn't have done that work on myself without really thinking about masculinity, and I couldn't have done that without y'all.

Haha, sorry, it's a weird parlance from my gaming group! It just means finding photos or images that you use to represent characters. Comes from the fan community that "fancasts" specific actors as characters in books in their ideal adaptation of a book.
